Art on the Street, a revolving collective of multiple artists working in an array of media, was a pioneer in trendy Soho when it began in 1990. Born across the street from Leo Castelli and next to Mary Boone, Art on the Street was conceived as a program to bring fine art into the retail exhibition en vironment, and in so doing, give emerging artists the opportunity to be seen by the masses. In the last eighteen years, Art on the Street has showcased over three dozen painters, sculptors, and illustrators
